Canadian soprano Michelle Price has been praised as a major talent with spellbinding performances and has won competitions in both Canada and the United States. In January Ms. Price celebrated her Carnegie Hall debut on the Weill Recital Hall stage as a featured song artist on Sir Thomas Allen’s Masterclass, part of Marilyn Horne’s 2016 Song Celebration series. Ms. Price was also the recipient of the 2015 inaugural Marilyn Horne Performance Award at the University of Oklahoma. As a two-time concerto competition winner, she performed selections from Joseph Canteloube’s Chants d’Auvergne with the OU Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Price recently made her Iowa Public Radio debut singing “Non mi dir” from Mozart’s Don Giovanni while covering the role of Donna Anna for Metropolitan Opera soprano Danielle Talamantes at the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre.
Ms. Price holds degrees from the University of Oklahoma (M.M., D.M.A.) and Brandon University (B.M., M.M.). Ms. Price currently teaches at Hillsdale College in Moore, Oklahoma and Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
